Creating Opportunity for Positive Change
Come and explore some of the complexities surrounding international development and the problems facing rural African communities. Learn about Engineers Without Borders and the work they are doing in Zambia, Malawi, Ghana and Burkina Faso. By harnessing the skills and creativity of the Canadian engineering sector, EWB is working to find practical solutions to one of the world's most urgent problems-extreme poverty. This 50 minute presentation will introduce you to EWB, begin to explore the problems related to extreme poverty, and examine how science professionals are prime candidates to make a meaningful impact.
Public welcome. There will be a $5 cost recovery fee charged at the door.
